I originally joined the practice in 1985 and after 16 years left in 2001 to join an IT company as a Systems Trainer. I returned to Poplar Grove Practice in 2003 as the IT Manager and am responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of IT, data quality of medical records, and procurement of IT software and hardware.

• My role is split over 5 days. 3 days will be managing the requirements of the Primary Care Network (PCN) contracts and 2 days working for Poplar Grove Practice on long, medium & short term strategic plans (this includes things like; the Covid-19 vaccination programme & future planning for population growth).

Additional Details

I have now worked for the NHS for 10 years. I live in Aylesbury. In my spare time I enjoy walking, socialising and going to country pubs.

I am responsible for HR within the practice and also oversee the Building Officer with facilities management.

I worked for British Airways for a number of years before moving into Practice Management, firstly in a Veterinary hospital before moving into the NHS as a Practice Manager in a GP Surgery here in Aylesbury and as an Operations Manager in Northamptonshire. 

I live near Bicester with my husband and my parents. I have recently become a grandmother for the first time which is fabulous! I enjoy motorsport (both watching and previously participating!), being with my family and dogs (especially Labradors!)

I joined the practice in 2015 initially working in the Administrative Team, I then trained in Phlebotomy and other procedures. I work 2 mornings a week as a Healthcare Assistant and the remaining time I work as the practice Finance Officer working alongside our Finance Partner.

I have worked at Poplar Grove Practice for over 12 years, originally starting as a part-time receptionist, moving into a secretarial role and then becoming a supervisor in both Reception & Admin office. Having been off for 9 months I now work alongside the IT Manager.

When I am not at work, I live with my husband and our daughter in Oxfordshire. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit and getting creative in Graphic Design & Spatial Design.
