Special Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist I  have specialist training on medications and can therefore carry out medication reviews, deal with prescription queries, hospital discharge letters and outpatient prescriptions and conduct long term clinics for patients with conditions such as Asthma, COPD and Diabetes. I am an Independent Prescriber and can therefore change medication regimens and issue prescriptions if required. I recently completed a minor ailments course and will be assisting the GP's by offering this service soon.

Ideally the Pharmacist should be the patient's first port of call with a medication query.

Special Responsibilities

Before joining Poplar Grove practice, I worked as a community pharmacist in a busy Oxfordshire pharmacy. During this time, I continually supported patients with their medications, and I am acutely aware of the many challenges that patients face. As a Pharmacist I look to use my knowledge of medication to provide practical advice and alternative solutions.

I am due to complete an additional postgraduate qualification in March 2024 which will see me become an independent prescriber allowing me to further support patients regimens and enable access to medication.

I am confident the role of Pharmacists in primary care will continue to grow and look forward to the opportunities and challenges it presents. The opportunity to work alongside colleagues of other professions with vast experience and skills only serves to support this.

I love spending time outdoors whether in my garden or exploring running trails. I am a keen cook, especially homemade pasta, and enjoy entertaining.
